Why I’m Running

I’m Delvis Dutton and I’m running for State Representative in House District 157.

Tattnall County is my home. I was born and raised in Glennville and this district has been an integral part of my life through grade school, college, my professional life as a well driller, and now with AllOnGeorgia.com.

When I ran for State House in 2010, I did so with the understanding that I would be expected to do whatever it took to ensure our district had not just adequate, but exceptional representation. I offered myself to serve to communicate the needs and concerns of Southeast Georgia to those legislating in Atlanta. Every vote I cast and every decision I made affected this district and our state and I took that responsibility very seriously.

Over the next few years, our district will face a fork in the road with redistricting, a new Governor, and turnover in leadership positions across the state. There has never been a more important time for Tattnall, Evans, and Wayne counties to have a vocal advocate fighting for our home, someone who will set aside any political or personal gain to keep our district at the forefront. I was that person when I represented you from 2010 to 2014 and I will be that person if you send me back to the State House.

This is my home and where I will raise my own family. My roots are in this district, my values are in this district, and my heart is in this district. I would love to have your support, it’s something I’ve never taken for granted. I’ll be on the Republican ballot on May 22.
